Child Therapist, Teen Therapist
Helping Kids Who Struggle With Reaching Out
I understand how challenging it can be to reach an angsty, moody, or stressed-out child or teen. But actually, I love working with kids and teens who need a little extra support to feel heard and understood.
With my background as a middle school music director and current work as a school counselor, I’ve spent years connecting with young people, and I know that establishing trust and creating a safe, welcoming environment are the keys to effective therapy. As a therapist at Compassionate Counseling St. Louis, I’m eager to help your family navigate the tough moments.
Building trust with my clients is my top priority. I want them to know that I’m really listening and that I truly care about them. Knowing someone cares—especially when you’re a struggling child or teen—can make all the difference!
Connecting CBT and Play for Real Change
I work hard to show my clients that I’m listening and that I genuinely care about what they’re going through. For kids and teens who might not have the language to express their feelings, play-based therapy can be an incredible tool. Using play therapy techniques, we can help them open up, connect, and feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings. By combining play-based therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we can address the root of the issue, whether your child is dealing with anxiety, anger, or overwhelming emotions
Next Steps: Let's Connect
If you think I might be the right fit for your child, let’s start with a free phone consultation with our intake coordinator. I offer in-person appointments at our Clayton office, and virtual options are available to fit your family’s schedule. I look forward to the possibility of working together to support your child’s journey
