Art therapy for kids and teens in St. Louis, MO

Creating connection through expressive arts.

When you’re the parent of a child or teen who is easily overwhelmed, it can be so hard to feel hopeful. What if they never get better? What if anxiety is always a part of their life? What if they never feel safe enough to really open up to you; to actually tell you what’s going on?

I’m here to help.

With nearly 20 years of experience as a clinician, I know that the most important part of therapy is trust. My biggest goal is to create a safe, therapeutic space where the kids, teens, and families I work with feel ready to open up and move forward. We want to help you and/or your child feel better, however that looks to you. We can do that when we’re ready to change, when we’re motivated, and when we’re ready to put in the work.

Using art therapy for kids to create lasting change:

I was first introduced to art therapy while working as the program director of a women and children's homeless shelter in Chicago. I couldn't help but notice the excitement of the children as they ran off to a room to work with her, and how much calmer and happier they seemed after. It was so powerful to witness the differences in those kids before and after their therapy sessions. and I thought, "What magic is happening in that therapy space? I want to be able to do that for kids, too".

Art therapy, CBT, and skills-building allow me to tailor my approach to your needs.

I’m passionate about helping kids and teens use art and play as a way to connect more deeply with themselves and others. Expressive work allows you to safely express your thoughts and feelings, especially those that are difficult to put into words.
